Realingo turns your own photos into language exercises. Take a photo, choose one from your album, or let the app pick an older one, and it builds word arrangement, fill-in-the-blank, speaking, and writing exercises around what is in the picture. It supports 15 learning languages with CEFR levels from A1 to C1. Generation runs free and unlimited on your device; Premium adds cloud AI generation.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the app downloading a model, and do I need it?
Free exercise generation runs entirely on your phone using a local vision model. It is a one-time download of about 2.8 GB, and it needs an iPhone with at least 3 GB of memory. Open Settings > AI Model Settings to download it, or tap Use on-device AI when the app offers it. Once downloaded, generation works offline with no daily limit.
What do I get with premium?
Premium adds one thing: exercise generation through cloud AI (Google Gemini), up to 30 a day. It is optional — generating on your device stays free and unlimited whether or not you subscribe.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open the app, go to the subscription screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you used for the original purchase. Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so you can also review or cancel them in your device's Settings under your Apple Account > Subscriptions.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, open Profile and tap Request deletion. This records a pending request but does not immediately delete cloud data. We verify your identity and normally process requests within 30 days so another account is never changed by mistake; cloud data remains until processing is complete. We confirm completion using a verified email address when available. Anonymous users should also email nawta1998@gmail.com so we can arrange confirmation. You can stop future research sharing immediately from Settings. See the privacy policy for details.
Which languages can I learn?
You can learn any of 15 languages, including Finnish, English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Korean, and Chinese. You can switch your learning language at any time from the main screen, and difficulty follows the CEFR scale from A1 to C1.
